14 DAY TRIAL // A new flavor of the Stitcher Radio application is now available for download for the owners of Android-based smartphones, with brand new features packed inside, and an updated user experience.
The application, meant to provide users with access to favorite news, comedy, sports and talk radio shows straight from their Android-based devices, has been rebuilt from the ground-up.
Those who download and install the new Stitcher Radio 3.0 for Android will benefit from more intuitive navigation capabilities, as well as from enhanced browsing and discovery features.
In addition to the all-new experience, the application comes to devices with a variety of performance and stability enhancements, the release notes unveil.
According to the development team, the new Stitcher Radio iteration has been reengineered using the latest media APIs, which should result in a smoother listening experience.
Furthermore, the new app version arrives with a Rich Notifications feature for all devices that are based on Google’s Android Jelly Bean operating system.
“Exclusive to Jelly Bean users, listeners can control playback, pausing and tracking without unlocking their phones,” the release notes explain.
At the same time, the development team explains that the full widget functionality is planned to be restored in the next release of the app.

- Breaking news: Keep up with the day’s biggest stories on the front page and via breaking news audio alerts sent to your phone.
Furthermore, the app provides Android users with sharing capabilities, so that they can keep their friends on the loop with their favorite shows. Stitcher supports Twitter, Facebook and email.
