IT security company FireEye has appointed Steve Pataky as vice president of worldwide channels and alliances. Pataky’s role is to enhance the relationships the firm has with its global resellers, distributors, and partners.

“FireEye addresses a critical need in the enterprise today, and provides organizations with an open framework for sharing and aggregating threat intelligence to better protect themselves against cyber attacks,” commented Pataky.

“I look forward to helping to provide each of our partners with the tools and resources necessary to become trusted security advisors to their customers while accelerating their opportunities in the threat protection market.”

Before joining FireEye, Pataky worked as vice president of worldwide channel development and programs at Juniper Networks. At Juniper, he was responsible for the Partner Advantage Program.

At FireEye, Pataky will focus on the company’s recently launched Fuel Partner Program, designed to enable partners to broaden their services offerings.
