OfficeLeaks.com, a newly-founded service that provides a free platform for employees and employers to engage in anonymous dialogue, is capitalizing on the hype surrounding Steve Jobs' resignation, saying someone had leaked this info some four weeks before Apple would announce it officially.

According to OfficeLeaks.com, an anonymous user mentioned seeing a visibly upset Steve Jobs. Another user posted that Apple's board had voted on Steve's replacement the next day. The Apple forum hosted by OfficeLeaks is located here.

According to the people in charge with the service, “One of the many rumors on OfficeLeaks.com was proven correct Wednesday evening.”

“On August 2nd, an anonymous user posted a rumor that Apple's board held a vote to elect Steve Jobs's replacement. While the official announcement that Jobs would be stepping down sent shock waves through the tech community, it also validates anonymity and its place in today's digital world,” says OfficeLeaks.

"I'm shocked," said Ryan Masanz, founder and CEO of OfficeLeaks.com. "We built this start-up to give everyone an anonymous voice within their company. Our users normally discuss more subjective issues, but this elevates everything."

Masanz and his staff believe that events like this confirmed Apple rumor will make posted content “required reading” for business owners worldwide, in what is a clear steering of attention towards the fledging gossip platform.

Masanz said he was excited about the potential to change the entire workplace dynamic with OfficeLeaks.

"Every day we're seeing more people speak out, and businesses are listening, whether they admit it publically [sic] or not."

Created in April 2011, OfficeLeaks.com is designed to foster honest debate and productive conversations that enhance workplace culture, according to its founders.

The platform currently features over 750 companies with 1400 users and 500 active conversations.
