Asked what was the main secret of Steve Jobs’ popularity, Walter Isaacson explained to RIA Novosti interviewers why his death became such a tragedy for an entire planet.

Having already revealed in his bio on Steve Jobs that the Apple co-founder was extremely sensible, Isaacson reiterates, “I think he was able to make an emotional connection with people.”

“He was very emotional and sentimental himself and so he could understand other people's emotions and know how to make a product that would connect emotionally with people.”

Isaacson says Steve Jobs “understood what caused people's emotions and understood how to design products that felt special. So it's mainly his sense of design and artistry that connected emotionally with people, it was the same case as with a good poet or musician.” Full interview here.
