Coming to theaters in 19 US cities beginning November 16th, “Steve Jobs: The Lost Interview” will feature forgotten footage from an interview used for the 1995 PBS documentary “Triumph of the Nerds”.

Landmark theaters across the US will be featuring a lost interview with Steve Jobs during a key turn-point in Silicon Valley’s history.

A famous clip from that very interview is embedded above showing Jobs as he explains how Apple got the idea of putting an emphasis on graphical user interface.

Talking about the GUI, Jobs said: “I thought it was the best thing I’d ever seen in my life … Within ten minutes, it was obvious to me that all computers would work like this.”

Although Jobs had given a 70-minute interview, only 10 minutes of the raw footage were used in the finished documentary.

The missing content was reportedly found in the documentary director’s garage, on a VHS tape.
