Apple CEO Steve Jobs is having a busy week. Not only did he kick off his company’s Worldwide Developers Conference 2011 with another iconic keynote, he also took it upon himself to reveal the Cupertino City Council Apple’s plans for building a new campus.

In what can only be described as a mother-ship Apple HQ, the upcoming circle-shaped building looks stunningly beautiful in the renderings displayed by Jobs before Cupertino’s mayor and fellow city council members (pictured above).

According to Jobs, “There is not a straight piece of glass in this building, it’s all curved.”

He continued, “We used our experience making retail buildings all over the world now, and we know how to make the biggest pieces of glass in the world for architectural use.”

“And, we want to make the glass specifically for this building here. We can make it curve all the way around the building… It’s pretty cool,” Jobs added.

Throughout his presentation, Jobs couldn’t stress enough that his love for Cupertino will materialize in a project that benefits all.

He plans to put around 13,000 people in the building. Most of the parking would be done under ground, and there would be no smoking indoors.

Jobs revealed to city council members that he lost both his parents to lung cancer caused by smoking, and that he is very sensitive about staff safety.

In addition to remaining the biggest tax payer in Cupertino, if the project gets approved, Apple will also be giving back to the community by keeping a low carbon footprint, while doubling the amount of trees currently found in the new location.

The facility would generate its own power using natural gas. The grid would only be used as backup, Jobs revealed to the Cupertino City council.

The amazing presentation saw Jobs give one of the members a piece of his mind around a restless joke about offering free WiFi as a way of giving back to the community.

“Yeah… I think we [can] bring a lot more than free WiFi,” a slightly irritated Steve Jobs said, nodding his head looking downward.

Apple plans to break ground next year and to move in by 2015. Watch the presentation below (free WiFi moment around minute 13).
