Microsoft has started the search for a new CEO, as Ballmer will retire in 12 months

CEO Steve Ballmer will soon leave Microsoft, after spending no less than 13 years at the helm of the company founded by his good old friend Bill Gates.

As you can see in this clip published by The New York Times on YouTube, Ballmer was often the guy who made people laugh during his keynotes, not necessarily because he turned to all kinds of tricks to gain the attention of the audience, but also thanks to the fact that he talked about lots of things freely.

Ballmer was more of a sales guy than a visionary, one analyst said a couple of days ago, so he had slight chances to continue Microsoft’s path to success in some yet-unexplored markets.

The CEO will retire as soon as a successor is found, so have a look at some of his best moments at Microsoft and tell us what you think in the comment box below.
