You’re probably familiar with the devices and services concept Steve Ballmer has talked about so much lately.

Well, it seems that Microsoft’s CEO is very keen on making his dream come true with what appears to be a major restructuring plan for the Redmond-based company.

AllThingsD reports that Ballmer is now planning a fundamental shift that could change the roles of some key employees working for the company, including Satya Nadella, president of its Servers and Tools division, Tony Bates, president of its Skype communications division, and Don Mattrick, president of its Interactive Entertainment division.

Not much is known about this new plan to reinvent Microsoft, but Steve Ballmer is planning to put the focus on some other products beside Windows, including the Surface brand (which already groups several products) and Xbox.

In addition, Microsoft is believed to continue investments in the hardware industry, as previous reports have indicated that smart watches, e-readers, and smaller tablets could see daylight in the coming years.
