Following the huge scandal that blew up in the media in the previous weeks, it's safe to say that Stephen Collins' acting career has been dealt a massive blow. That is, if we are to believe his lawyer, who has come forward to claim that the actor has been excluded from all roles and acting jobs he had up to this point.

Collins is still in the process of divorcing his wife, who was actually the person to leak the incriminating audio in which he can be heard saying that he exposed himself to underage girls. His lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, has released a statement regarding his client's financial status at the moment, and this has been obtained by TMZ.

Collins lawyer claims his client was left without work and income by the molestation scandal

In the document, the lawyer alleges that “Faye's decision to parade that recording ... has resulted in Stephen having no income other than investment income and pension income.”

The recording he is referring to was taken in secret during a 2012 therapy session and it was leaked to the press immediately after the divorce was announced. Since it was leaked, Collins saw his career, not just his reputation, go on a downward spiral.

Collins was dropped out of future project and will be removed from current projects he has already done

It has already been previously reported that Collins was excluded from the upcoming comedy “Ted 2” and that his work on “Scandal” would actually be edited out. A week later, his talent agency dropped him as a result of his scandal and it was later revealed that even his show “7th Heaven” was canceled on several cable channels, depriving him of syndication income.

Collin's wife has said on a number of occasions that she doesn't have anything to do with the audio leak, but her husband's lawyers have claimed that she's using it to extort money out of Stephen in the divorce proceeding.

But for Collins, its' not only bad news. Some media outlets which have spoken with sources from law enforcement agencies have claimed that the actor is unlikely to be prosecuted based on his recorded admissions that he exposed himself to girl between the ages of 11 and 13 in the United States decades ago.

The main reason is just that: because all three alleged cases took place decades ago, which means that the statute of limitations makes it unable for the police to start a case on the matter. But that doesn't mean that Collins won't have settle the matter in court.
