SteelSeries Simraceaway Is a Handheld Steering Wheel

Adjust text size:

Hybrid devices are turning up quite often these days, so SteelSeries decided to make a contribution, in the form of what isn't exactly the first thing people would consider putting together.

Nonetheless, players of race games might actually end up quite enamored with the Simraceway SRW-S1 Steering Wheel, which is as much a steering wheel as it is a joypad.

We already spoke of it in here, but we figured a video of it in action would interest you.

Nothing should come in the way of full range acceleration and braking, not with the patent-pending, hand-controlled paddle system on the rear of the wheel.

Those considering the acquisition of this device needn't worry too much about difficulties with set-up either

Also, no drivers are required: all it takes is plugging the device into a PC and it's ready to drive.

About $120. In Europe it's 120 Euro (yes, exchange rates don't seem to matter, alas). Well, the OFFICIAL price is $199.99 / 199.99 Euro, but if online shops have it up, it might be a bit more, though not overmuch.
