Since the video card market recently welcomed new DirectX 11 devices, it makes sense that the players on the audio market would say their piece as well, and SteelSeries has already added a new set of headphones to its official website.

When making a gaming system, end-users almost always end up buying a suitable audio system or headset to complement its prowess.

This is because not only do high-quality headphones deliver excellent sound, but are also comfortable, something critical during long play hours.

SteelSeries seeks to meet these requirements with its newest set of heaphones, the Siberia v2, which is optimized to boost overall acoustic performance.

One of the assets is that, compared to the previous Siberia model, Siberia v2 had 50mm driver units that are 25 percent larger.

The product also comes with close type ear cups whose cushions are made out of sound dampening foam padded with thick leather.

There is also, for voice communications, a uni-directional microphone that can be retracted from the left ear cup and can go unnoticed in most instances.

All in all, the newcomer is optimized for gaming, “making the headset a preferred piece of equipment for the worlds' best competitive PC gamers - the most demanding headset users in the world.”

“Experience a rich and detailed soundscape from immersive atmospheric background music to precise 3D positional sounds of footsteps, gunfire and more,” states the company on the official product page.

For extra comfort, the headset is designed light and has the same trademark headband suspension construction, making sure that it definitely doesn't cause discomfort when being used for long periods of time.

Those interested in a first-hand view of the specifications need only visit the official product page that the company has already set up on its website. As for pricing, interested gamers will have to part with 79.99 Euro.
