Customization is something that technology has been exhibiting more and more, but few things can truly claim to pack as many user-changeable features as the latest SteelSeries mouse.

There are many things about a hardware product that can be changed and tweaked, depending on what it is meant for and how much of it people are meant to see.

On that note, peripherals and consumer electronics are the most likely to include multiple design options, not just performance elements.

That said, the new SteelSeries mouse definitely fits into the category of customizable items, to the point where it might even be considered among those with the most options.

Laser mice and such usually possess the ability to change responsiveness settings, and perhaps the color of the LEDs.

The Sensei, as the newcomer is called, adds much visual manageability on top of that, thanks to an ARM processor and the ExactTech technology.

The 5,700 CPI laser sensor can go all the way up to 11,400 DCPI, through Double CPI technology, most useful for multi-monitor setups.

The button functions can be changed, as can macros and full profiles, down to even the color lighting system.

One might say that this all has been done before, but they are likely to change their opinion once they learn that a 16 million color lighting system is present and accounted for. There is even a built-in LCD screen.

For those that want further numbers, seven configurable buttons exist, as does a gold-plated USB (universal serial bus) plug and a double-braided nylon cord.

All the features are packed inside an ambidextrous frame made with a non-slip metal coating and measuring 125.5 (L) x 68.3 (W) x 38.7 (H) mm.

Overall, users should be able to perform everything from macro and profile to color and button customization.

October is the time when shipments commence in the US, for the price of $89.99. European buyers will also have access to it, for 89.99 Euro.

UPDATE: Buyers can get the special driver for this item from here or choose a different one if they possess any other SteelSeries product.
