The headphone set is named after a particularly poplar Warcraft 3 map

Dota is a custom map for Warcraft 3, but it is so intricate and leans towards RPG so much more than RTS that it is considered a game all on its own. So much so that Dota 2 was developed by Valve as a sequel for it. SteelSeries feels said game deserves hardware to be named after it.

Case in point, SteelSeries has released the Dota 2 Headset for “professional” gamers. Or at least it has begun accepting pre-orders for it.

The product has a price of $119.99 / €119.99, no matter what exchange rates have to say on the matter.

Dota 2 Headset is based on Valve's online action game and the award-winning Siberia v2 design. It has 5.1 surround sound (virtual), a retractable microphone and the Scythe of Vyse, an exclusive in-game item for Nature's Prophet. "Dota Red" illumination with six different modes is included too.

Pre-order the headset now (launch is in November) and you'll be entered to have a chance to play with four team members of Na'Vi's legendary lineup.
