Video game publisher Capcom has released the new live action trailer for its game Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor, which was directed by Mamoru Oshii.

The director is well known for his philosophy-infused storytelling techniques and has worked on well-known anime as Urusei Yatsura 2: Beautiful Dreamer, Ghost in the Shell and Patlabor 2.

The Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor live action trailer is subtitled Gosha, after the name of a pilot of the same name who is the core character, and the entire production was filmed on location in Poland.

The new robot-oriented video games uses the Kinect motion tracking system from Microsoft so as to allow players to use their hands in order to control their Virtual Tanks.

The story takes place in 2082, in a world where all the silicone chips have been destroyed and where all armies now rely on giant mechanical machines that blast each other with powerful weaponry.
