Whoever watched any sort of spy movies will know of all the strange shapes technology might ever take, and it seems like Steampunk figured it was time to make some of those gadgets a reality.

Normally, an USB flash drive is a small device, shaped like a stick/rod or cube/rectangle that somehow includes an USB port in its construction.

As such, in addition to regular-looking sticks, there are even very small units that are barely visible after being pushed into a computer's USB connector (are just slightly larger than the port itself).

Apparently, there is more than one application for this kind of very small form factor storage devices, and Steampunk definitely came up with one that some may dub James Bond-worthy.

Simply put, a designer made a pair of USB cufflinks which, in tune with their name of Mechanical Memory USB Cufflinks, have a clockwork motif on the 'case.'

Each of them has a capacity of 8 GB and were made by hand from the ground up, with the hardware packed inside very small enclosures sculpted out of walnut.

Each cufflink is composed of 30 individual parts and even a blue activity LED was built into the lid, framed by a metal ring.

The back of each item is adorned with sterling silver cufflink findings and the watch parts originated from disassembled pocket watches.

All in all, the Steampunk cufflinks are described as the “ideal present for someone who has everything.”

For those that are specifically interested in numbers, each cufflink measures 16 mm x 23 mm x 9 mm and sold for $225 (they are a unique item).

This is just the latest in the string of Steampunk products and accessories, which features such things as an iPad dock, an actual flash drive and a musical instrument made out of an old typewriter, among other things.
