Steam is hosting a Valentine’s Day sale starting today, bringing a ton of great games at massive discounts, all sharing one common theme: they’re better in co-op.

The Valentine’s Co-Op Sale page is up and running, with discounts ranging from 20 percent up to an incredible 80 percent on a wide variety of games, from indie gems to AAA blockbusters, in a vast array of genres.

Valentine’s Day is usually a very fake celebration of love crafted by people who manufacture useless stuff in order to encourage consumerism, or an excuse to go out, depending on your mood.

In any case, Steam is offering an alternative to the usual slew of Valentine’s Day presents, in the form of the ability to purchase two games for the price of one (or even four) and enjoy the company of someone else while gaming.

The weekend sale is dedicated to games that feature cooperative multiplayer, and although there is a long list of titles that are great in coop and that aren’t part of the sale, there are still a ton of good games.

A bunch of great games

Some of the best games featured in the sale are Portal 2, Don’t Starve Together, Saints Row 2, 3, and 4, Magicka, Castle Crashers, Gauntlet, Borderlands, Borderlands 2, and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.

If you don’t have any plans yet, it’s time to grab one of the titles and make some. Invite someone and show them the excitement of riding poop-powered deer in Castle Crashers. In case you don’t know how that works, just check out the video below.

Broforce is also part of the deal, and the game has just gotten a little more spicy, with the recently released Infestation Update, adding a ton of Alien-themed content to the action platformer.

If you’re less into action and more into building something meaningful, you can give Terraria a try, as it’s like a two-dimensional version of Minecraft. Lots of choices.
