It’s no secret that Gabe Newell, Valve’s CEO, doesn’t like Windows 8 at all, but here’s something that’s really worth a look at.

The recently released Steam for Linux is now being used to encourage Windows users to make the move to Linux, a freeware operating system that can provide a pretty neat gaming experience thanks to this gaming platform.

The site we’ve already told you about yesterday recommends users to “Join the Beta” and register for Steam for Linux. And while you're at it, you may want to dump Windows completely and download Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. A download link is also available to make everything faster and easier.

Of course, switching to Ubuntu just because Valve has released a Steam client for this OS isn’t quite the right decision, but it’s still interesting to see how easy it actually is for someone to blast Windows.
