This latest Beta update to the client brings a few interesting changes

Valve has launched a new stable version for its Steam for Linux client, featuring a slew of new features and a lot of fixes and improvements.

When a development version garners sufficient changes, Valve promotes it to stable, and the work for the next beta starts almost immediately.

Highlights of the latest Steam for Linux update:

• A crash in the Big Picture web browser on the Linux platform has been corrected; • The Steamworks API has been changed and it no longer crashes; • A few style regressions have been fixed; • A few other regressions have been corrected.
