A new Beta version of the Steam for Linux client has been released by Valve, with even more In-Home Streaming improvements.

The company has two branches for Steam, a stable and a development one, and it usually tests all the changes and features in the Beta version.

According to the changelog, a better login progress indicator UI has been implemented, controller support for Fallout 3, Orcs Must Die 2, and Walking Dead has been added, a crash at startup in Walking Dead, if a controller was plugged in on the client, has been fixed, and the detection for RDP, which causes the game to stream with a black screen, has been added.

Check out the official announcement for more details about this release. You can also download the Steam installer from Softpedia if you don't have the client.

Keep in mind that this is a Beta version and you might experience some problems with it. In order to get it, you have to enroll in the Beta program, from Preferences.
