Valve has released its Steam Trading Cards system to all users of the digital distribution service, and added quite a few new games to the ever-increasing list of supported titles.

The Steam Trading Cards system allows owners of certain games to collect cards when playing them. These can be used to create collections which, when forged together, result in special emoticons, profile backgrounds, badges, and discount codes. Alternatively, players can simply sell the cards on the Steam Market.

After some time in beta, the Steam Trading Cards system is available to all, according to an announcement from Valve in the STC group.

What's more, quite a few new games have received Trading Cards, in the form of Binding of Isaac, Company of Heroes 2, GRID 2, Warframe , Crusader Kings II, Penny Arcade's On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 4, and Psychonauts.

More games and features will appear for the Trading Cards system, so stay tuned for more announcements.
