Valve has confirmed that it's taking the Steam Trading Cards system out of beta stage this week, as on June 26 all users of the digital service will be able to earn cards by playing different games. The company also hinted that the upcoming Steam Summer Sale will start soon.

The Steam Trading Cards system was announced last month and, since then, it went on to become quite popular, as it rewarded users with cards that could be collected, traded, or sold via the service's Market.

After getting more and more games into the system and adding new features, Valve has confirmed that the Trading Cards will soon be available to all Steam users later this week.

"We're going to move Trading Cards out of beta next Wednesday June 26th at 11am PDT," the company announced on the Trading Cards group.

"This means all the features you all have been helpful in testing are going to be made available to everyone on Steam. We'll be adding Trading Cards to several games that day as well (instead of the normal Tuesday & Thursday release)."

Valve promised that new features will be added, while existing ones will be tweaked after the upcoming launch so that users will have a great time earning and using cards.

"We'll be continuing to iterate on existing features and add new ones after the release. There are a few things we have talked about previously that we really wanted to get to, that have now been pushed till post release - Trade Offers, and the Card Binder. They will still get done we just don't have an exact timeline on that."

The studio will fix any bugs and glitches until the official release this week, so existing users are urged to give feedback and comments.

What's more, Valve also mentioned that the public launch is "a step towards an event we think everyone can be excited about," obviously referencing the upcoming Summer Sale.
