The client for the digital platform Steam from Valve was taken down yesterday, for a little over 30 minutes, by a spur of hardware failures.

Valve performs maintenance for Steam on a regular basis, but these operations are announced ahead of time and users have time to prepare.

The Steam service was disabled on May 8 by a series of problems that caused a flurry of problems for the users.

“Some Steam services, including the web store, were unavailable between 12:55 and 1:28 PM PDT due to multiple hardware failures. All services are currently online, although we will have another scheduled maintenance period later in the week to perform further work,” stated on the official forums one of the Valve community managers, identified as v_henryg.

Even if all the problems have been corrected, it's not unlikely that some users will still encounter some minor issues.
