With the arrival of summer, Steam users are met with a brand new, themed month-long promotion, in the form of the new Steam Summer Camp offer.

Valve's Steam digital distribution service got its users accustomed to seeing various sales in certain times of the year, including Easter, Halloween or Christmas. Another major excuse for the company to run massive discounts across all the games available for purchase is the summer season, so Valve hasn't disappointed its users this year.

Instead of just offering regular discounts for several games each day, the company is running an even more special promotion.

Sure, you'll still get big discounts each day until the end of July, but you can also engage in various activities run by the Steam Summer Camp.

Basically, if you unlock certain achievements in certain games each day, you get virtual tickets, which can be redeemed for bonus content for a variety of games, ranging from Homefront to Killing Floor, Defense Grid or Portal 2.

Also, for every ticket you get, you'll be entered in a sweepstakes that will see Valve award 100 Steam users with the top 10 games on their wishlists. As such, you'd better start organizing your lists and earning achievements for a chance at this big prize.

What's more, until July 10, Valve is also hosting massive discounts for special Featured Packs, like the Valve or 2K Complete packs, or the Rockstar and Square Enix Summer Packs.

Publisher catalogs have also seen their prices chopped, so, if you want to get all of the titles from companies like Activision, Valve, THQ, 2K, Electronic Arts and more, now's the time to do it.

Valve will update its Steam digital service with brand new Summer Camp Activities as well as with new daily discounts each day, so expect more bargains until the end of this month.
