Half-Life creators Valve Corporation have announced Steam Mobile 1.4 for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, an updated version of the company’s game platform for Apple portables. The new build has an updated look and feel and new features.

As opposed to the desktop client, Steam Mobile is limited to the tasks that can be carried out on a small smartphone display.

According to its creators, “With the free Steam app for iOS, you can participate in the Steam community wherever you go. Chat with your Steam friends, browse community groups and user profiles, read the latest gaming news and stay up to date on unbeatable Steam sales.”

Version 1.4 is now available featuring (at long last) full support for Apple’s iOS 7 flat graphics, including some native design elements (like the search magnifying glass, the “more” button represented by three horizontal lines, etc.).

Another new addition, individual chats can now be cleared, which means you get to keep only those that matter. Steam Inventory support has been added, and Ukrainian speakers will be happy to know that Valve has localized the client in their native tongue. Dozens more languages are also supported.

Download Steam Mobile 1.4 and check out all these goodies today.
