Valve has just released the Steam Greenlight system onto its popular digital distribution service, allowing users to vote on what games they’d like to see on Steam in the future.
Steam is the most popular digital distribution service in the world so you can bet that a lot of games want to be sold on the platform and reach its 40+ million users.
In order to make things easier for developers and to allow users to actually have a say in the approval process, Valve revealed the Steam Greenlight
system earlier this summer.
Now, the new mechanic has been rolled out for the general public, allowing all of Steam’s users to vote on what games they’d like to see on the digital service.
As of right now, over 400 games can be voted by users and expect a lot more to appear in the near future, as all sorts of independent developers get their projects ready for Steam Greenlight.
