The team in charge of the Greenlight service for Steam at Valve announces that it has approved three new titles for launch as part of a mini-update that is linked to the start of the month.

The included games are, according to the announcement:

- Edge of Space, an open sandbox that includes explorations, survival, battles, crafting, building and terraforming; - Papers, Please, a game that simulates the tedium and excitement of border document control; - Venetica, an adventure game set in Venice.

Steam is also set to launch Substance Designer 3, a game tool for textures.

The team says, "Votes in Greenlight give us a hugely valuable point of data in gauging community interest along with external factors such as press reviews, crowd-funding successes, performance on other platforms, and awards and contests to help form a more complete picture of community interest in each title."

Apparently, Valve is interested in quickening the pace of Greenlight approval, which means that more titles might be approved soon.
