Steam Early Access, a program which allows users to buy and test games while they are still in the development stages, includes six Linux games out of 12.

The new Steam feature includes 12 games, but not all of them can be played on the Linux platform. In fact, only six of those games will provide Linux support, but for now just three have actual working clients for the open source platform.

“The goal of Early Access is to provide gamers with the chance to 'go behind the scenes and experience the development cycle firsthand and, more importantly, have a chance to interact with the developers by providing them feedback while the title is still being created,” reads the official announcement.

The six games that will have Linux support are Kerbal Space Program, Gear Up, StarForge, Prison Architect, Kinetic Void, and Under the Ocean.

Out of those, just Prison Architect, Kerbal Space Program, and Gear Up have working clients. A complete list of games from the Steam Early Access program can be found on the official website.
