Valve has released a new Beta build of its Steam client, featuring a large number of changes and improvements.

Valve usually pushes a few Beta updates before upgrading the stable branch of Steam, and now it's time for another Beta build to be available for download.

According to the developers, the client release notes in update dialog are no longer being blocked when the Family View is active, and marketing messages are no longer being reshown when adding/removing games from Family View.

Also, smooth scrolling in some panels has been fixed to not jitter backwards before continuing to correct scroll offset, the Steam Controller bindings are now scrolling correctly as focus moves off screen, and the styling of the PIN entry dialog on Linux has been fixed.

Check out the official announcement for more details about this release. You can also download the Steam installer from Softpedia if you don't have the client.
