Valve has begun to tease the upcoming Steam Box mini PC device by unleashing a new teaser website that mentions the expansion of the Steam Universe.

Steam is the most popular digital distribution service in the world, with developer Valve slowly expanding it over the last 10 years into one of the biggest platforms in the world.

For some time now, Valve has teased the Steam Box project that it had in development in the last year, which is basically a mini PC designed to play the latest game and run a modified Linux distribution optimized for the Steam software.

Now, after a teaser statement from Valve boss Gabe Newell, the studio has unleashed a teaser website that mentions the expansion of the Steam Universe.

"Last year, we shipped a software feature called Big Picture, a user-interface tailored for televisions and gamepads. This year we’ve been working on even more ways to connect the dots for customers who want Steam in the living-room. Soon, we’ll be adding you to our design process, so that you can help us shape the future of Steam," the website reads.

A countdown is already underway that will expire in three days, on Monday, September 23.
