Curve Studios has announced that their upcoming title, Stealth Inc. 2 , will be a Nintendo Wii U exclusive game.

The news sounds a bit weird, but the London-based developer has mentioned that Nintendo's eShop offers indie developers a big opportunity and as such has opted for exclusivity on Nintendo's platforms.

The upcoming Stealth Inc. 2 is a sequel to the immensely popular two-dimensional infiltration puzzle-platformer and will be released sometime in 2014, as a self-published title. For now, the terms of the deal Curve Studios struck with Nintendo have not been disclosed.

The studio's decision is even more puzzling considering that they have made a name for themselves by porting several games to the PlayStation Vita, PS3 and PS4 platforms, in addition to Stealth Bastard Deluxe, which had to be renamed to Stealth Inc. in order to qualify for the puritanical Japanese software and hardware giant's standards.

The developers have stated that signing the exclusivity agreement with Nintendo was a really good commercial opportunity, pointing out that they don't have much competition on the eShop, and that Nintendo has sold a few million Wii U consoles that are hungry for good games.

For now, Curve has abstained from revealing the new features in the upcoming sequel but has mentioned that the Wii U's GamePad will be utilized for cooperative gameplay.
