Tails 0.20.1, a live system that aims to preserve your privacy and that helps you use the Internet anonymously, has been officially released and it’s available for download.

As usual, the developers of Tails have implemented a brand new Linux kernel and this time they have brought it from the unstable branch of Debian.

The Amnesic Incognito Live System is now based on Linux kernel 3.10-3 and comes with TOR 0.2.4.17-rc and the latest Torbrowser patches.

The developers have also restored the functionality for the persistence function, the I2P IRC account has been fixed, and a lot of translations have been updated.

Users have been advised to upgrade to the new version as soon as possible. A complete changelog can be found in the official announcement.
