Tails 0.20, a live system that aims to preserve your privacy and that helps you use the Internet anonymously, has been officially released and it’s available for download.

As usual, the developers of Tails have implemented a brand new Linux kernel and this time they have brought it from the unstable branch of Debian.

The Amnesic Incognito Live System is now based on Linux kernel 3.10.3-1 and comes with Iceweasel 17.0.8esr and the latest Torbrowser patches.

The developers have also implemented Dasher, a predictive text entry tool, a wrapper around TrueCrypt which displays a warning about it soon being deprecated in Tails, a lot of updated translations, and fixed a lot of security issues.

Users have been advised to upgrade to the new version as soon as possible. A complete changelog can be found in the official announcement.
