Chronic Dev’s Pod2g is busy tweeting left and right about the nuts and bolts of his untethered iOS 5.0.1 jailbreak for non-A5 devices, including one interesting aspect regarding a certain iOS 5.0.2.

Although not confirmed by Apple (not even by developers testing future iOS releases), iOS 5.0.2 may be on Apple’s radar, according to Pod2g, a member of the Chronic Dev Team which hacks iDevices and then passes on the goods to you.

His latest feat was the untethered jailbreak of iOS 5.0.1. The hacker had recently handed the bits to the iPhone Dev Team to incorporate the untether in Redsn0w, and the updated tool got released just a few hours ago.

Now, Pod2g has a warning for those who reap the benefits of a jailbroken device:

“BTW: A4/A5 users, don't update to 5.0.2 when it's out, that would cut your jailbreak possibilities,” he wrote on Twitter.
