The development team at Undead Labs, best known for their work on State of Decay, announced that it is entering a multi-year and multi-game exclusive deal with Microsoft, which will result in the development of new prototypes for a series of titles.

The studio thanks the publisher for its support over the past year and for the way it was promoted and says that, "And most of all, thanks to all of you for your ongoing support, encouragement, and enthusiasm for State of Decay. We know how far we’d have gotten if it hadn’t been for your spreading the word, and it definitely wouldn’t be here. You made this happen."

It's unclear whether Undead Labs will create sequels for its current games or whether all its future Microsoft published games will be new intellectual property, according to AllGamesBeta.

The team promises to offer more information soon but at the moment its main focus is on improving the already impressive performance of State of Decay.
