Google Chrome continues to be the most used web browser in the world, even though it lost a few users in the past month.

According to data from StatCounter, Google’s web browser had a market share of 45.44 percent in June, down a bit from the 45.6 percent from the previous month. For the past few years, Chrome has managed to be on the top of this list, towering over its competitors.

Internet Explorer has managed to win a few users this past month, climbing to 20.96 percent market share, a little under 0.2 percent more than in May. This is the first time in months that Microsoft’s browser climbs in popularity following the decision to stop supporting Windows XP in April, as well as a trove of Internet Explorer versions.

Firefox suffered a drop in June, with its market share reaching 17.95 percent, down from 18.72 in the previous month, making for a rather steep descent. Apples Safari won over some new users from other browsers, as it continues to gain in popularity. The piece of software is now used by 10.33 percent of Internet users, up from 10.02 in May.
