StartIsBack has received a brand new update this morning, so in case you’re using this particular app to make the new operating system a bit more familiar, make sure you get the latest version as soon as possible.

Version 1.0.5 for Windows 8.1 comes with several bug fixes, but also with digitally-signed DLLs, according to the official release notes rolled out a few minutes ago.

At the same time, starting with this new build, the default Start button selection covers the whole taskbar edge, so you might notice a few minor changes in the way the Start button integrates into the Windows taskbar.

As you can easily figure out by simply reading the program’s name, this particular version only works on Windows 8.1, with both 32- and 64-bit editions being supported right now.

All in all, in case you’re looking for an app to make your modern operating system a bit more familiar, just download StartIsBack 1.0.5 for Windows 8.1 to bring back the traditional Start Menu.
