Stardock launched today the stable build for Start8 1.1, their start menu for Windows 8. The changelog is pretty long but among the highlights for this release is support for multi-monitor environment.

Also new in this build is support for drag-and drop, which also includes re-organizing the entries in the All “Programs” list. The possibility to rename the items in the tree is now available as well.

Another new feature is the possibility to a specific number of items in the folders pinned to the Start Menu. Furthermore, now you can add custom locations for easy access.

One improvement present in the current build touches on the boot of desktop feature. On the same note, the developer improved the performance for the search box when used for viewing folders.
