IObit released an update for Start Menu 8, which is how they envision the start button for the new Windows operating systems.

The fresh revision is 1.3.0 and the most important modification it integrates refers to full support for the soon-to-be-released OS from Microsoft, 8.1; this means that the developer performed extensive testing in order to ensure that no glitches occur.

Apart from this, only the improvements touching on the UI are more significant. The new version of the application offers quick access to any of the applications available in the modern start screen.

The list of changes includes an entry informing that the bug with the shortcut has been eliminated, along with other, more general issues that have not been disclosed by the developer.

IObit is a free solution that emulates under Windows 8 and 8.1 RTM the functionality of the start button currently available for Windows 7.
