Brad Wardell, the chief executive officer and founder of Stardock, says that the launch of DirectX 12 will allow all development teams working on the Xbox One home console from Microsoft to improve the resolution of their video games and add more details to the experience.

VideoGamer quotes the game creator as saying that, “One way to look at the Xbox One with DirectX 11 is it has 8 cores but only 1 of them does dx work. With dx12, all 8 do.”

Wardell has offered some more details on the way DirectX 12 improves processing on the home console in a number of other Twitter messages.

At the moment, Stardock has not officially announced that it has any project in development for the Xbox One or any other next-gen consoles.

Microsoft has promised that it will deliver constant updates for its hardware, which are designed to make it easier for developers to launch high quality experiences for them.

The main project at Stardock is Galactic Civilizations III, which is in development and should be launched before the end of the year.

A number of gamers can already play the game, which is in alpha, and initial reports are saying that the core mechanics are interesting, if rough around the edges.
