Starcraft: BroodWar - Cheat Codes and Hero Unit Speech

When it surfaced, Blizzard's own Starcraft: Broodwar was the most exceptional RTS expansion pack of all time, revitalizing the original gameplay and boosting it to lengths no one thought possible. While further patching did adjust pricing, abilities and cooldowns, the overall balance was close to perfect and Broodwar’s current all-time high popularity is a living proof. The following cheat codes can be used in single player mode, just in case you need a push in the right direction while playing the game for the first time. A complete list of special unit speech has also been compiled as this kind of interaction makes up for half the fun in the single player mode.

Cheat Codes

Instant Victory - there is no cow level
Instant Loss - game over man
Reveal Map - black sheep wall
Secret Zerg Theme Song - radio free zerg (works when playing as the Zerg)
Invincibility - power overwhelming
Receive 10,000 Minerals and Gas - show me the money
Receive 500 Minerals - whats mine is mine
Receive 500 Vespine Gas - breathe deep
Infinite Energy - the gathering
No fog of war - war aint what it used to be
Instant Free Unit Upgrades - something for nothing
Disable Food and Psi Requirements - food for thought
Disable Technology Tree - modify the phase variance
Free Technology Upgrades - medieval man
Disable Level Victory - staying alive
Fast Build Mode - operation cwal
Level Select - ophelia, then type the name of the desired level
StarCraft level names consist of the race followed by the mission number (terran1, terran2, zerg1, zerg2, protoss1, protoss2, etc), while Brood War levels prefix the name with an 'x', like: xprotoss5

Build Over Supply Limit as Protoss - have your Dark Archons mind control any protoss unit as many times as you want
Build Over Supply Limit as Zerg – mutate as many drones as possible into a creep colonies, then quickly select the same number of larvae and mutate them into the unit you desire. Stop the drones from mutating into buildings afterwards

Terran Civilian

Jim Raynor (Marine, Vulture, & Battlecruiser hero)
"Hey, quit it!"
"What's your problem, man?"
"Look, Commander, do you mind?"
"I knew I shoulda stayed in bed this morning..."

Sarah Kerrigan (Ghost heroine)
"Easily amused, huh?"
"Doesn't take a telepath to know what you’re thinking."
"You get off on annoying people, don't you?"
"You may have time to play games..."
"...but I've got a job to do."

Edmund Duke (Siege Tank & Battlecruiser hero)
"Been a general for 15 years..."
"...now I'm takin' orders from a pup."
"This Korhal outfit is a mess."
"Y'all need some good old-fashioned discipline!"
"That's what you need..."

Samir Duran (Ghost hero) -Duran's Infested form also uses these quotes, but in a slightly Zergier voice.
