Blizzard has confirmed that the next patch for its successful Starcraft 2 strategy game, update 2.0.4, will be released soon and advises players to start downloading it in the background as it's quite big in size.

Starcraft 2 came out back in 2010 and delivered a pretty impressive real-time strategy experience that focused on the Terran faction led by Jim Raynor.

Now, the studio is getting ready to debut the first expansion for the game, in the form of Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm.

In anticipation of the new chapter in the series, patch 2.0.4 will soon be released for Starcraft 2.

According to Blizzard's post on the Battle.net forums, many changes are included in the update, like all-new menu screens, as well as fresh features for the Replay system or the Clans and Groups one.

More details will be shared soon but, in order to ensure a reduced waiting time, the studio advises all players to start downloading the big files from the update in the background by simply starting up the Starcraft 2 client.
