Facebook customers may be faced with ads that claim Starbucks is offering coffee gift cards for a limited number of users as a result of a promotion, but it turns out to be nothing more than a scam.
Internet users are urged to share the message with their friends and leave a comment saying they love coffee,

This is just a way to make sure as many people as possible fall for the hoax, since in the end, no one actually gets any free prizes.
After clicking the link from the post, victims are taken to various pages where they are offered additional prizes in return for some clicks and personal details.
While the personal details will be utilized by the crooks to spam inboxes, the clicks might help them earn tons of money, as the rogue locations will pay them a certain amount for each visitor they redirect to the website.
Facebook members are advised to avoid such scams and remove any trace of it from their profiles before other innocent internauts fall victim.
