Blizzard has announced that the upcoming patch 2.1 for its real-time strategy hit StarCraft II will increase the level cap and will add new in-game rewards.

According to the patch 2.1 preview notes on the official Battle.net forums, a total of six Carbot-themed portraits and decals will become available to players, two for each of the in-game races.

The level cap has also been raised to 35, from the previous 30, allowing for more out-of-game progression options for StarCraft II fans.

The prerequisites for utilizing the new cosmetic additions will be reaching level 32 and 35, with Protoss, Terran or Zerg, respectively.

Along with the new rewards and raised level cap, Blizzard has also decided to quadruple the amount of XP earned with the First Win of the Day bonus. Consequently, each first win with each race will award 100k XP, a benefit obtainable every day.
