Blizzard has made the install client available for download to the customers that purchased or will purchase StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty to have it ready for the much awaited launch of the strategy game on the 27th of July 2010. This is only for those who bought a digital copy of Blizzard's latest outing, not for the consumers that pre-ordered the boxed version of the title.

IncGamers reports that StarCraft II will not install before the release date, but only at the moment boxed copies have started to sell in retail stores, that is at midnight in North America. A Battle.net account with a license of the game attached to it will be mandatory to play the game. The developer has also launched a new interface for the Battle.net web terminal. For those who want to buy a digital version of StarCraft 2, they only need to log in to Battle.net, go the Services tab and click Buy StarCraft II Digitally.

This is quite an interesting move from Blizzard, as it originally declared that digital copies of its games would be released after the boxed versions. As it seems, World of Warcraft's developer has changed its mind to the better, making access to StarCraft II much easier for its customers. European and Russian copies will be available a bit later, though, that is at 10:00 AM CEST on the same day of the official launch.

StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty is, of course, the follow-up to the most successful strategy game of all time. Blizzard has set to improve the original in every aspect and has taken its time with this title, adding a lot o polish to all of StarCraft II's components. The single player campaign will be feature only the Terrans, with another two episodes revolving around the Protoss and the Zerg to come out later on. The developer has decided to manage all the multiplayer options through Battle.net, as Local Area Network matches will no longer be possible. Despite many of the fans' concerns, Blizzard is promising the Battle.net will provide a much better experience than what was available in the first installment in the series.
