StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm, the long-awaited expansion for Blizzard’s real-time strategy game, has just received a semi-official release date of March 12, 2013, as the studio’s Battle.net online store displays this launch day when viewing the game’s pre-order page.

StarCraft 2 received its first chapter, Wings of Liberty, back in 2010 and Blizzard promised that the next installments, Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void, would be released as soon as possible.

Two years have passed and the studio recently confirmed that Heart of the Swarm will actually come out in the first half of 2013.

Now, the Battle.net online store, via Eurogamer, displays an actual release date of March 12 for the strategy game.

What’s more, the store also details a special Digital Deluxe edition of StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm, which comes with in-game bonuses for StarCraft 2 as well as for World of Warcraft or Diablo 3.

As of yet, Blizzard hasn’t released a statement about this supposed release date.
