14 DAY TRIAL // The development team in charge of the coming 3.0 version for Disney Infinity is ready to offer more information on the coming Star Wars: Twilight of the Republic playset and the adventures associated with it, which will be apparently focused on both exploration and combat.
The content will take gamers to the planet of Geonosis, well known for fans of the series, in order to try and discover the location of a big droid factory that can change the course of the Civil War.
Each of the featured Jedi, including Anakin, Yoda, Asoka and Obi-Wan, will have his own Force based power and special lightsaber technique to use on their enemies.
Their various styles mean that gamers might want to switch between them depending on the situation in order to see the way combos and the re-designed combat system of Disney Infinity 3.0 work for each of them.
Dash, jump and spin attacks can be used and laser blasts can be deflected to deal with multiple enemy attacks.
The development team adds, "Each character has their own dedicated upgrade tree that is split into four branches, each dedicated to a specific area of the character's skills. Level 20, but for the Jedi Masters out there, an extreme difficulty level can be enabled to really amp up the challenge."
Disney Infinity 3.0 will focus on Star Wars content
So far, Disney has not announced an official launch date but will be offered on the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4, the Wii U and last-gen consoles.
The new content will focus on characters and adventures linked to the Star Wars franchise to benefit from the publicity boost that will come once the new The Force Awakens movie is launched.
At the same time gamers who pick up Disney Infinity 3.0 will be able to pick up characters including: Olaf, Mulan, Quorra, Sam Flynn, Mickey Mouse, Minnie, Ultron, Hulkbuster Iron Man, and the Inside Out characters.
Star Wars; Rise Against the Empire is the second big playset that will be included, with a focus on the events of the original movie trilogy.
Disney has said that Darth Vader, Luke and Leia will all be involved, but no info has yet been offered on special character attributes or the locations of their adventures.
