The development team at BioWare announces that it is closing down the Asia Pacific game servers for Star Wars: The Old Republic and that all players who are still using them to enjoy the MMO will be moved to hardware that houses the North American contingent.

The official forums show the transfer structure:

Mastar Dar’Nala - PvP will transfer to The Bastion - PvP Gav Daragon - RP-PvE moves to Begeren Colony - RP-PvE Dalborra - PvE transfers to The Harbinger - PvE

BioWare says that the Star Wars: The Old Republic transfer was made after players were consulted in order to make sure that all gamers were able to enjoy high-density areas and to easily find groups to adventure with.

A community manager says, “We are moving as quickly as we can to make this happen, but we want to make sure this is a smooth transition, so it will take some time.”

Rise of the Hutt Cartel for The Old Republic launches in early April.
