Video game developer BioWare says that it has plans to launch at least two expansions for the Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO during the coming year, all of them designed to add more content and mechanics to the title.

An official blog post from the company explains, "Expect to see two digital expansions in 2014 just like you did last year, with one similar to Galactic Starfighter in scope and one more closely resembling Rise of the Hutt Cartel."

There’s no information on the exact storylines that will be added to the MMO.

Bruce Maclean, a senior producer on The Old Republic, says that his team is also moving to a three-week cycle for bug fixes, which is designed to make sure that no new issues are introduced to the game.

Star Wars: The Old Republic will also introduce more Player versus Player tournaments, new dungeons, more raids and interesting items this year.
