BioWare has confirmed that it’s preparing the first big update for its Star Wars: The Old Republic online RPG, in the form of patch 1.1, which brings quite a lot of new content and is already available on the Public Test server.

Star Wars: The Old Republic was released a few of weeks ago and its developer, BioWare, already deployed several small patches to fix exploits and vulnerabilities that were uncovered by players.

Now, the first full-pledged update is coming, with the studio confirming that it can currently be experienced by those who have characters on the Public Test server of SW: TOR.

The patch, just like the ones before it, brings a variety of changes, fixes and overall improvements for the online game, but also some fresh content for those that are already going through the variety of quests, operations and flashpoints that are present in the game.

“We are excited to announce that today’s patch for our Public Test Server brings you the first of many content updates for Star Wars: The Old Republic,” BioWare revealed. “It includes some exciting content additions, including a new Flashpoint, Kaon Under Siege, and four new boss additions to Operation: Karagga’s Palace. You’ll also notice changes to Open World PvP on Ilum.”

The studio also highlighted some of the most important improvements that will be made to the game once the update goes live across all The Old Republic servers.

“As with every update, 1.1 includes many high-priority bug fixes,” BioWare added. “We have corrected the issue that prevented some Jedi Knights from progressing in Kira Carsen’s affection conversations, made some previously inaccessible Datacrons reachable, and have made many fixes to various issues in Flashpoints and Operations.”

Update 1.1 for Star Wars: The Old Republic is set to be released on all servers of the online game sometime this week. Until then, you can check out its complete changelog here.
