Developer BioWare announces that its MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic will be down for maintenance later today, starting with 5 AM Central Standard Time, the equivalent of 12 PM CET, in order to update the game with the content introduced by the new 1.7 patch.

The official message from BioWare states, “All game servers will be offline during this period. This maintenance is expected to take no more than two hours, but could be extended. After the maintenance, please login via the launcher to download the latest patch. If your launcher was open during the maintenance, you must close and reopen it for a fresh login.”

BioWare also says that it will deliver full patch notes after the maintenance period is complete.

Star Wars: The Old Republic is now free-to-play and BioWare plans to continue delivering updates and balance changes in the long term.
